Members of the Commission absent from the meeting were: The Rev. Michael Fox from the Diocese of the Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands and The Rev. Monsell Alves, Diocese of Guyana.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The\u00a0Provincial Commission on Mission, Renewal, Ecumenism and Interfaith\u00a0<\/b>met at the Hillcrest Diocesan Retreat Centre in Brown\u2019s Town, St. Ann this week under the chairmanship of The Rt. Rev. Robert Thompson, Suffragan Bishop of Kingston. The two-days of deliberation on July 6 and 7, involved six of the Commission\u2019s eight members.<\/p>\n

In keeping with the Constitution and Canons of the Church in the Province of the West Indies (CPWI), the Commission is charged with keeping the Mission of the Church under constant review and identifying opportunities for renewal and more effective delivery of the Church\u2019s Mission. It is also responsible for developing a comprehensive policy and strategy to guide relations between the CPWI and other Churches.<\/p>\n
