Students from Diocesan Schools get in line for the 2014 March of Witness<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The annual Cathedral Sunday celebration will be observed on\u00a0 Sunday, November 22 with a Festal Evensong at the Cathedral of St Jago de la Vega, Spanish Town, under the theme\u00a0 \u201cCathedral Pilgrimage: Summoned by the God who made us.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>
\nThe afternoon\u2019s activities promise to be eventful, as before the Service begins at 3:30 pm, there \u00a0will be a March of Witness by clergy and church organizations, accompanied by Marching Bands.The march from the Prison Oval to the Cathedral will begin at 2.30 p.m.; and this will be followed by dance presentations at the Cenotaph in front of the Cathedral.<\/p>\n

Students from Anglican Schools and youth from churches across the island will take part in the Service, in keeping with the refrain of the popular hymn, to: \u201csing a new church into being one in faith and love and praise\u201d. The Sermon will be delivered by the Rev. Michael Allen, Rector, Church of the Ascension, Mona Heights.<\/p>\n

Chairman of the Cathedral Sunday Planning Committee, Archdeacon Patrick Cunningham, is urging congregations across the Diocese to “accept the summons and join the pilgrimage to this historic Cathedral \u2013 the Mother Church of our Diocese – for a memorable and moving worship experience.”<\/p>\n
