Rev. Robert Thompson, Suffragan Bishop of Kingston as he opened an exhibition on the Cathedral at the St. Catherine Parish Library, Spanish Town on Tuesday, November 25.<\/p>\n<p>The Exhibition was mounted as part of Cathedral Sunday activities this year which commemorate 350 years of Anglican Ministry in Jamaica. Using mounted display boards, the Exhibition highlights the Cathedral\u2019s<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>history beginning with the appointment of the first Rector in October 1664;<\/li>\n<li>role in the Diocese and in the nation as a whole;<\/li>\n<li>role as a parish church with organizations and groups as well as mission churches<\/li>\n<li>contribution to Education in the Parish beginning in 1730<\/li>\n<li>historic monuments and fixtures befitting its status as a national monument<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also on display are several Bishop Mitres, loaned by Bishop Reid as well as some clerical vestments from the Cathedral.<\/p>\n<p>Taking part in the opening ceremony was the Rev. Canon Collin Reid, the Rector of the Cathedral and the Venerable Patrick Cunningham, Archdeacon of Kingston and Chairman of the Cathedral Sunday Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The Exhibition is open for viewing from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday.\u00a0\u00a0 It will close on December 2, 2014 and it is planned to mount it in other locations so as many persons as possible will be able to view it.\u00a0\u00a0 <i><\/i><\/p>\n<table border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"319\">\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_3123\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3123\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anglicandioceseja.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/DSC_0417.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3123\" alt=\"The Very Rev.
