We can vividly recall the\nshock when we heard of the fire that totally destroyed  Clifton Boys\u2019 Home on the night of January 5,\n2017, and so shortly after the fire at Wortley Home.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following on the\ngroundbreaking ceremony on March 20, 2019, the rebuilding committee has been\ngoing full steam ahead to complete the building by the end of 2019.  Construction cost is estimated at $60M. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is what the new Clifton will look like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we are only half way there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, the Diocese has secured approximately 50% of projected costs.\u00a0 There are concerns that the fundraising efforts will not be able to keep pace with the construction schedule which will result in construction delays.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\ncan you do to help?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know that appeals have been made to Corporates Jamaica, but we are appealing to you<\/strong> to truly make this a Diocesan effort.\u00a0 Someone proposed that if each member of the Church gives J$1,000 to the project \u2013 YES, just<\/strong> J$1,000 <\/strong>– it might seem small, but together, it can make a big difference<\/strong>.\u00a0 We need not be restricted to this initiative, however.\u00a0 Please respond as you are led.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
