{"id":17413,"date":"2019-04-05T10:46:18","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T15:46:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.anglicandioceseja.org\/?p=17413"},"modified":"2019-04-22T14:29:21","modified_gmt":"2019-04-22T19:29:21","slug":"sunday-school-presidents-adopt-motto-for-children-%ef%bb%bf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicandioceseja.org\/copy\/sunday-school-presidents-adopt-motto-for-children-%ef%bb%bf\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunday School Presidents Adopt Motto for Children \ufeff"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Presidents of Deanery Sunday Schools have adopted\nas their motto, <strong><em>\u201cAll Children Deserve to Know About God, Tell Them.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> The group\nalso agreed to promote the creation of a Diocesan award for Sunday School teachers\nwho have demonstrated excellence in teaching and administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision was taken at a meeting in\nMandeville on February 16 chaired by Director of Christian Education, the Rev.\nDouglas Barnes, who urged Deaneries to network more closely and to share best practices.\nHe reminded teachers, \u201cThe lives we live, the examples we set and the teachings\nwe impart influence the church, as the Sunday School is a major nurturing\nground for leaders of the church, including priests.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rev. Barnes advised participants that the curricula\nfor Confirmation and Sunday School classes were both being updated to align\nthem more effectively with the revised lectionary.
