We must take the Jesus-shaped life seriously,\u201d Diocesan Bishop, Howard Gregory, told the large congregation at the launch Service at the Church Teachers\u2019 College in Mandeville.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201cWe will be training members at the Regional, Deanery and Church level to help them understand that, as baptized members, they have a role in promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ which we believe and preach. The growth of our Church is dependent on our engagement of Intentional Discipleship,\u201d he asserted. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-11216\" src=\"http:\/\/www.anglicandioceseja.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Disciple-making-Book-210x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.anglicandioceseja.org\/copy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Disciple-making-Book-210x300.jpg 210w, https:\/\/www.anglicandioceseja.org\/copy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Disciple-making-Book-105x150.jpg 105w, https:\/\/www.anglicandioceseja.org\/copy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Disciple-making-Book.jpg 349w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/>The Service followed two two-day seminars for clergy and laity, in the Kingston and Montego Bay Regions, presented by the Anglican Communion\u2019s Director of Mission, the Rev. Canon John Kafwanka, and the Rev. Canon Mark Oxbrow, InternaORIALThey are also co-authors of a book titled<b><i> \u201cIntentional Discipleship and Disciple-Making: An Anglican Guide for Christian Life and Formation.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Canon Oxbrow, who also preached at the Service, explained that Intentional Discipleship involved a conscious decision to find where Jesus has trod. \u201cWe must follow him everywhere\u2026in our family, in the business world, in the care for the environment, among the abused. It\u2019s for our entire life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">This initiative by the Diocese follows a resolution at the last meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council in Lusaka, Zambia in 2016.
