Bishops from the Province of the West Indies at the second conference hosted by Trinity Wall Street in Panama in 2016<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Some 80 Anglican Bishops, clergy and lay leaders from the Caribbean and Latin America are now meeting in Montego Bay to identify practical ways to share their skills and knowledge, promote best practices and enhance the church\u2019s ministry and mission across the Region.<\/p>\n

They have also been joined by The Rt. Rev. Carlos Lozano, Bishop of Spain and The Rt. Rev. Jorge Tavares de Pina Cabral Bishop of Portugal. Also in attendance is The Rt. Rev. Anthony Poggo, Advisor to the Archbishop of Canterbury.<\/p>\n

The week-long conference from Thursday, October 26 to Wednesday, November 1, at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa, is being hosted by the Diocese of Jamaica and The Cayman Islands and Trinity Wall Street, an Episcopal Church in Manhattan, USA.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, October 29, conference delegates will visit nominated churches for worship and to observe their ministry in the respective communities. These include St. John\u2019s Church, Ocho Rios; the St. Ann\u2019s Pay Parish Church; and St. Mark\u2019s Church, Brown\u2019s Town, St. Ann. St. Michael\u2019s Church in Clarke\u2019s Town, Trelawny; Holy Trinity Church and St. James Parish Church, Montego Bay will also host visitors. Another contingent will travel to Spanish Town where the Archbishop of the West Indies, The Most Rev. and Hon. John Holder will preside at theon. John Holder  Service at The Cathedral of St. Jago de la Vega. St. Margaret\u2019s Church, Liguanea; St. Andrew Parish Church and Kingston Parish Church will also welcome delegates.<\/p>\n

Established more than 300 years ago, Trinity Wall Street is committed to mission and service and has been forging partnerships around the world to strengthen the bonds among Anglicans. Through its outreach programmes, the church has helped to promote financial self-sufficiency through grants, collaborative workshops and training to support ministry to the poor and enhance the ability of local communities to carry out God\u2019s mission. Its work as an advocate for social justice is also widely recognised.  <\/p>\n

This is the third Conference of its kind in the Caribbean and Latin America, the first having been held in 2015.  <\/strong><\/p>\n
