Think on These Things (2020)

Think on These Things is a programme of Christian witness done by the Diocese. It features Clergy and Laity alike conversing about various topics. It airs on RJRfm at 4:45 pm every Sunday afternoon.

DEC 20, 2020	The speaker was The Rev. R. Jim Parkes, Priest-in-Charge of the Morant Bay Parish Church and his reflection was based on the theme: “Good News for Bad Times.”
DEC 13, 2020	The Rev. Jerome Small, Priest-in-Charge at St. George’s Church, Grand Cayman, speaks on the topic: ” Joy and Thanksgiving amidst life’s challenges.”
DEC 6, 2020	The Rev. Michael Brown, Chaplain of Kingston College, spoke on the theme: “The beginning of the Good News of Jesus.”
NOV 29, 2020	The Rt. Rev. Leon Golding, Bishop of Montego Bay, speaks to the significance of Advent in our Christian journey and witness.
NOV 22, 2020	The Very Rev. Sean Major-Campbell, Rural Dean for Kingston and Rector of Christ Church, Vineyard Town, addresses the inseparable relationship between the Kingship of Christ and servanthood.
NOV 15, 2020	The Message was delivered by Sister Molly Walton, retired Head of the Church Army, and she addressed the importance of preparing for Christ’s return.
NOV 8, 2020	The Rev. Louis Hurst, Priest-in-Charge of The Kingston Parish Church, speaks about the importance of being prepared for the second coming of the Lord.
NOV 1, 2020	All Saints’ Day, November 1. The presenter, The Venerable Justin Nembhard, Archdeacon for the Montego Bay Region, speaks about the Beatitudes and their relevance to the Saints of God.
OCT 25, 2020	Twenty-first Sunday after Pentecost. The message is delivered by the Rev. Basil McLeod of the Falmouth Cure and he speaks about the God who cares.
OCT 18, 2020	The Venerable Patrick Cunningham, Archdeacon of the Kingston Region and Rector of St. Luke’s Church, Cross Roads, discusses the Church’s responsibility to pursue its mandate of healing, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
OCT 11, 2020	The Rev. Barrington Soares, retired Priest of St. Mark’s Church, Mandeville, speaks about the Gift of God’s Grace.
OCT 4, 2020	The Very Rev. Richard Tucker, Rural Dean for St. Ann and Rector of the St. John’s Cure, Ocho Rios, spoke about: Being responsible stewards and giving to God what is due.
SEPT 27, 2020	The Rev. Ula Ruddock, Supplementary Priest in the Holy Trinity, Bluefields Cure, Westmoreland, deliver the Message: “Christ, the Ultimate Authority.”
SEPT 20, 2020	The Rev. Claudette Johnson, Retired Priest of the Harewood Cure in St. Catherine delivered the Message which highlighted God’s faithfulness and unconditional love for his creation.
SEPT 13, 2020	Rev. Michael Elliott, Rector of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Cumberland, Portmore, message is based on the assurance that, even in this time of COVID-19, the Lord will fight for us.
SEPT 6, 2020	Deaconess Dr Elaine Cunningham, offers advice about the transforming force of love in education, especially in the present COVID-19 environment.
AUG 23, 2020	The speaker is the Rev. Marjorie Downer, Priest-in-Charge of St. Peter’s Cure, Pedro Plains, St. Elizabeth, who points to the impact of Jesus on persons who recognize him as the Son of God, and who demonstrate this in their life.
AUG 16, 2020	The Rev. Dr. Patricia Johnson, Rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Manor Park, addresses the power of faith as demonstrated in the encounter between Jesus and the Canaanite woman, whose daughter he healed.
AUG 9, 2020	The speaker, The Rev. Canon Michael Allen, Rector of the Church of the Ascension, Mona, points to the duty of Christians to live as Christ did, for the well-being of the entire created order.
AUG 2, 2020	Rev. Hilda Vaughan, Assistant Curate at St. Mark’s Mandeville Parish Church, reflects on the responsibility of the Christian in promoting social justice, brotherhood, peace and love against the background of the national celebration of Emancipation and Independence.
JULY 26, 2020	Rev. Natalie Blake, Diocesan Director of Christian Education, presents, and her focus is the Parable of the Mustard Seed and the Kingdom of God.

MAY 3, 2020	On Diocesan Children’s Sunday, Rev. Natalie Blake, Director of Christian Education, reads the Message from Archbishop Howard Gregory, and Mrs. Ena Barclay, Director of Anglican Schools, highlights parental care for children during Covid19.
APR 26, 2020	Psychologist, transformational therapist, counsellor and educator, Dr. Sandra Hamilton, joins host, Tony Patel, in a conversation about homeschooling for autistic children.

MAR 22, 2020	Think on These Things for Sunday, March 22. The message is delivered by the Archbishop of the West Indies and Bishop of Jamaica and The Cayman Islands, the Most Rev. Howard Gregory, who speaks to the Church and the nation regarding the challenge of the Coronavirus (COVID -19).

FEB 16, 2020	Message was delivered by the Rev. Kirk Brown, Priest-in-Charge of the St. Michael’s/Clarks Town Cure in Trelawny, and he focused on the relationship between will and deed.
FEB 9, 2020	The speaker was Mr. Odane Hamilton, Member of the Kingston Parish Church and Treasurer of the Brotherhood of St Andrew. He shared thoughts on being a disciple. The Rev. Canon Hartley Perrin, Chairman, Clifton Boys’ Home, gave an update on the status of the current rebuilding programme.
FEB 2, 2020	Today’s message is by the Rev. Howard Walters, Assistant Curate at the Cathedral of St. Jago de la Vega, who highlighted the importance of presenting ourselves to God with an attitude of thanksgiving.
JAN 26, 2020	The third Sunday after The Epiphany. The Message is delivered by The Rev. Paul Sharp, Assistant Priest, Church of the Transfiguration, Meadowbrook.
JAN 19, 2020	The Reflections were presented by The Rev. Olando Gayle, Priest-in-Charge of the Southfield Cure, St. Elizabeth.
JAN 12, 2020	Today’s message given by Rev. Hilda Vaughan, Assistant Curate, St. Mark’s, Mandeville Parish Church. She focussed on the Baptism of Jesus and its implications for baptised members of the Church.
