CPWI Commission on Mission Meets in Jamaica

The Provincial Commission on Mission, Renewal, Ecumenism and Interfaith met at the Hillcrest Diocesan Retreat Centre in Brown’s Town, St. Ann this week under the chairmanship of The Rt. Rev. Robert Thompson, Suffragan Bishop of Kingston. The two-days of deliberation on July 6 and 7, involved six of the Commission’s eight members.

In keeping with the Constitution and Canons of the Church in the Province of the West Indies (CPWI), the Commission is charged with keeping the Mission of the Church under constant review and identifying opportunities for renewal and more effective delivery of the Church’s Mission. It is also responsible for developing a comprehensive policy and strategy to guide relations between the CPWI and other Churches.
